HSIPAW  Yangin Mandalay


On arrival of your travelling in Myanmar, your guide will pick you up with wonderful smile and pleasant greeting introduction at the Yangon International Airport. Then, start your sightseeing to Kandawgyi park and Karaweik Hall, Sule pagoda, Mahabandoola garden, Strand road including our city hall in the middle of the town and independence monument. After that, visit Chauk Htet Kyi reclining Buddha Image and Sri Kali temple. Shewdagone Pagoda is the best sightseeing of you first day to travel in Myanmar. It is very wonderful because of its golden light when the Sun goes down. Have a good night with Yangon atmosphere. Overnight in Yangon.


This morning, take flight  from  Yangon to Tachileik. Then, drive through from Tachileik to Kyaing Tong (approx. 4½ hours). Upon arrival in Kyaing Tong, brief panorama tour of this picturesque town built around scenic Naung Tong Lake. Accommodation at Hotel, Kyaing Tong.

DAY 03; KYAING TONG (Trekking to Hill tribes)

Full day out for Loi-Mwe, the hill station of the former British governor’s and officer’s houses and small old Church. Its take approximately 1.5 hrs drive through mountain up to 5542 ft hill top with terrace rice field and peaceful surrounding See 1 or 2 Akha villages how to produce rice-liquor. Holatt Akha village, Pang-Y Lahu village on the way back to Kyaing Tong . Dinner at Lou-Htin Lu Chinese restaurant. Accommodation at Kyaing Tone.

DAY 04; KYAING TONG (Trekking to Hill tribes)

Breakfast at the hotel, take the car about 45 minutes for a hiking tour into the Pin Tauk area. Lush mixed monsoon forest with a view to the plain rice fields looking like a huge, green patchwork blanket. Visit the villages of Akha and Enn tribes. Some are haptized, some tribes still animists. The Enn are an ethnic group which tourists have found particularly interesting labelling them the “Black Teeth”. The walk is not difficult and can be done slowly. They live on the higher slopes. They have distinctively different costumes and beliefs from the other tribes. It will take about 4-hours to visit the villages. Take lunch at Pin Tauk water-fall. Late afternoon, come back to Private Hotel.


This early morning, visit Kyaing Tong Market – a fascinating place to soak up the local atmosphere. On the big wet market all kinds of vegetables, rice, fruits, meat and fish are on sale. Minority people come to town to shop or to sell their goods. For the Akha the many silver shops are of special interest as there they can buy the silver coins to make their very unique headdresses! We can stop at one of the noodle shops and enjoy a typical Shan breakfast with Shan noodles and a cup of tea. Time permitting we can stop at Wat In – a Khun-style temple or at the more “Myanmar”-style Maha-Myat Muni temple. Also a pottery and a blacksmith shop can be visited. Lunch is taken at a simple local restaurant.Transfer to Kyaing Tong Airport for direct flight to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay.


This morning return Mandalay by road (approx. 5 hrs).  Arrive in Mandalay in the late afternoon. In the evening, visit to Amarapura- Shwenandaw monastery, Kuthodaw pagoda (the world biggest book) and walk on famous U Bein Bridge for beautiful Sunset. Sleep well in Mandalay.


After breakfast, drive to Mingun. Take a boat to Mingun. It is worth to see our four kinds of Greats, Splendid Mingun Pathowdawgyi, Mingun Bell, the Great old Lion (about 13th century) and the great lake or well by King Bodawpaya. In the afternoon, your couch master will drive you to Sagaing. Sagaing is famous for the amount of monasteries and nunneries and the strange structure pagoda Kaunghmudaw. See the silver workshop and try on the real silver wears in Sagaing. Visit to Sagaing Hill. Drive back to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay.


Take morning flight to Bagan. People say ‘you are not a real Myanmar if you haven’t been to Bagan’ one another. The place where the real Myanmar lives, the real cultures have, the real accent say, and the most interesting histories are there. Then, Shwezigone, Gupyaukgyi temple(Wetkyiinn village), Ananda Temple (the famous one because its very rare architecture) and Manuha and Nan Paya are famous to visit in Bagan. Then, visit lacquer ware factory (the most interesting and famous handmade in Bagan) followed by a visit to local village. Sunset at Pyetthet gyi temple (which is the best and perfect temple for sunset in Bagan). Have a nice dream in Bagan.


After breakfast, visit Kyuk Gu U Min with interesting history of a Bhddhist monk at the bank of Ayeyarwaddy river by boat. It takes about half of a day. In the afternoon, visit Dhammanyangyi temple, Paya Thone Su, Lawkanandar pagoda, Bupaya and other famous temple in Bagan. Sunset at Pyatthetgyi pagoda. Overnight in Bagan.


After breakfast, directly drive to Mt. Popa. On the way to Popa, you and see the ways of lives and Myanmar traditional candy making houses and real pea nut oil production. Popa is said “The Mountain of Spirits” by Myanmar people. Popa is said “The Mountain of Spirits” by Myanmar people. Then, go down to Mt. Popa and have lunch there. After that, your car will bring you to Kalaw(a beautiful hill town). Overnight in Kalaw.

DAY 11; KALAW (full day trekking to local villages like Pao, Palaung, Shan, Danu and other tribes)

Your guide and car will wait for you at Hotel lobby to visit the villages of Shan, Danu, Taung Yoe and Pa O and see how the natural faces and smiles are. Along the way, feel the sounds of many birds and verities of plans, trees and vegetables. Have a nice dream in Kalaw.


After breakfast, drive to Nyaung Shwe (the boat town to Inle lake). Today sightseeing is with a boat. It is famous for its floating market, villages on water, beds for vegetables and flowers and one leg-rowers. Phaung Daw Oo pagoda, Inn Paw Khon and Nga Phe Chaug (Jumping cats) monastery are included in my sightseeing. Overnight in Inle lake.


In the early morning take a flight to Yangon and then take another flight from Yangon to to Sittwe to visit Mrauk Oo. (There is no direct flight to Sittwe till current time. Threfore, you have to take 2 flights to visit Mrauk Oo). Have a nice flight in the nice weather to Sittwe with mythical story. You will get there in the late afternoon, so I decided to overnight in Sittwe first. Situated between Western part of Yoma Mountain Range and Bay of Bengal. Which is the former Fort of Portuguese and Dutch. Learn 16th and 17th century’s pagodas. This region is a vast treasure house of our cultural legacy, which, like a magnet, has the capacity to attract historical and archaeological researchers. Overnight in Sittwe. (You need to take 2 flights on that day because there is no direct flight to Sittwe except of Yangon to visit Mrauk Oo. You will get to Sittwe in the late afternoon. Overnight in Sittwe.

DAY 14; MRAUK OO (Visit Chin Tribes) by Boat and Car

After breakfast, the car will bring you the riverside of Laymyo. Then, take a boat to visit Chin Village. You have a day to have a visit to the local tribes and their villages. Feel the ways of lives with real local people and have invisible fun with them. Each village has not more than 40 houses. They live in a very unique way as they have not seen any car and modernized machine in their lives. They do not know email and internet unless their ways of lives. Here, you can see a lot of women tattoo on their faces. Overnight in Mrauk Oo at Vesali resort.

DAY 15; MRAUK OO (Bicycling or by car whatever you prefer)

Full day sightseeing in Mrauk Oo. Mrauk Oo is the place of fascinating that you cannot imagine. Which is very old city, beautiful and full of wonders. Bicycling in Mruak Oo to the East, to the West, to the North and to the South with your professional local guides and see wonders in Mrauk Oo. You can see the more interesting places and temples with your bicycles. Overnight in Mrauk Oo.

DAY 16; MRAUK OO (Bicycling or by car whatever you prefer)

Bicycling around the Mruak Oo to the East, to the West, to the North and to the South with your professional local guides and see wonders in Mrauk Oo in the morning. Then, take a boat back to Sittwe in the afternoon. Overnight in Sittwe.


After breakfast, take a boat back to Sittwe. Take a flight back to Yangon from Sittwe. Free at your own leisure in Yangon Or visit to Kandawgyi (Royal Lake), Karaweik Hall and walk way, City Hall (in the middle of the town).Visit down town and Bogyoke Market for your nice shopping. Then, Kyauk Htet kyi Reclining Buddha Image in the afternoon. In the evening, you can see Botataung pagoda on the Strand road or free at your own leisure. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 18; YANGON – KYAIK HTI YOE (Golden Rock)

After breakfast, your couch master and your guide will drive to Kyaikhtiyo… (the golden stone pagoda stands on a edge of a cliff ), by car in the early morning. Buffalos, paddy plantation and locals are seen along your way. On the way, you can stop at somewhere nice places to have lunch or taking photos. Kyaikhtiyoe is believed that the ones will get prosperity and success for their future that they visit there for three consecutive years.  Overnight in Mt. Kyaik htiyo.
Yangon to Kyaikhtiyo (211 km). Driving hour is round about 3 and half hours.


After breakfast, drive to Mawlamying (which is the third former capital of Myanmar). Then, visit to the bridge with 5 monasteries and shrines, Maharani pagoda, Kyaikthanlan pagoda, Kyaikkhimi pagoda. Sunset at Setse beach(which is very beautiful beach in Myanmar). One night on Setse beach at Mawlamying.
Kyaikhtiyo to Mawlamying (167 km). The driving hour is 3 and ½ hrs.


Stop sometimes to visit in Bago, local market, Shwemawdaw pagoda where the biggest gone in Myanmar be. If you are lucky ones, you could enjoy the Nat -orchestra (Myanmar traditional instruments)at Hin Thar Gone pagoda. Then, visit Shwe Thar Lyaung pagoda (reclining Buddha Image), Kyaik Pun Buddha Images and the interesting plantation on the way back to Yangon. Back and Dream in Yangon. Back to Yangon. Overnight in Yangon.
Mawlamying to Yangon (224 km). Driving hour is round about 4 and ½ hrs.


Free at your own leisure before your departure flight to home. Your guide and your couch master will pick you up at the hotel where you stay and see you off at the Yangon International Airport for your departure.
